Engineering Feats
Hello my dear 3B students!
Our last topic talks about engineering feats. Great buildings made by the man that are very famous around the world.
During our class we discussed about some of these amazing engineering feats and now I would like you to tell us which great engineering feat you have already visited. Where is it? In Brazil, abroad? Who did you go with? What did you like the most about it? Why is this building considered an engineering feat?
In case you have never visited any great engineering feat, which one would you like to vistit one day? Why?
As you can see, here I am in New York City visiting one of the most famous engineering feats from the 20th century - The Empire State Building.
These pictures were taken in January 2008, I traveled to NYC with my husband and we had a very good time there!
The Empire State Building is now the tallest building in New York City (381 meters tall). The building was opened on May 1, 1931 and it stood the world's tallest building for more than 40 years from 1931 to 1972, when the World Trade Center construction was completed.
Now it's your turn! I'd love to know the awesome buildings you have already been to!!
